I was at the MCI Center last October when I met Ray Traylor (who now
wrestles in the WWF as The Big Boss Man). Ray was signing autographs
for everyone who was there (he would wrestle in a six man tag team match
with Rick and Scott Steiner against members of the NWO at Starrcade 97,
which took place on December 28, 1997 at the MCI Center and I was there
to see Starrcade in person).
I took my younger brother Michael and his wife Karla to the MCI Center
and they also got autographed photos from Ray. I got an autographed
photo from Ray and asked him how come he hasn't won a singles title in
WCW. Ray told me that he had not compiled enough victories to qualify
as a contender for a singles title. I asked Ray if he considered
finding a tag team partner and going after the tag belts. Ray said that
tag team wrestling would be nice, but he preferred wrestling solo.
With that, I left home with my brother and sister-in-law. That October
day in 1997 (I forget the date) was a day I would always remember.
